The Multiplayer
Every Call of Duty game needs a multiplayer segment, and WWII is no different. While Sledgehammer didn’t show off or really go into much detail about the multiplayer modes, they gave us just enough info to chew on for the moment. First off, zombies will be back. The multiplayer co-op mode will task players with teaming up together to shoot and kill Nazi zombies. The zombies co-op mode will also come with its own standalone story. It’s a bit of a tired formula at this point, but hey, if it’s not broken, don’t fix it, right?
There will be a Headquarters, which serves as sort of a hub for players to interact together when they’re not in any of the multiplayer gameplay modes. We don’t have much info on this just yet, but supposedly it’s an area where you can receive awards for your in-game performance.
There are two other modes called Divisions and War. Divisions will allow players to enlist in different army divisions, and progress through the ranks of their respective groups. War mode sounds a lot more interesting, as it places players in recreations of major battles from the war itself. Players will have to work together to complete objectives and win the battle.
