Mass Effect Andromeda: How to Ground Pound

How to Ground pound in Mass Effect: Andromeda

Recommended Videos

If you’re going to make it through to the end of Mass Effect: Andromeda in one piece, you’re going to need to use every attack and ability at your disposal. One such attack which can come in very handy when up close and personal with your enemies is the ground pound. Here’s how to execute one perfectly in the heat of battle.

Performing a ground pound in Mass Effect: Andromeda is actually incredibly simple. All you need to do is jump up into the air by pressing either the A button on Xbox One or X on PS4. Once you’ve got some air, line up your reticle with the enemies you want to target and then press the melee attack button Y (Triangle). This will see your Ryder twin descend quickly down on the targets to deliver a powerful area of effect attack.

It’s worth noting that this attack can effect multiple enemies if they’re in the small area of effect. With that in mind, it’s worth trying to group multiple enemies together so you can thin out enemy forces a little faster with the ground pound.

Ground pound doesn’t require you to unlock a particular skill or ability, either. This is your standard melee attack, just remember to jump beforehand.
