When you first encounter Fire Bellowbacks in Horizon Zero Dawn, they can seem pretty intimidating. These things are huge and have the ability to engulf you in its fiery breath from a distance. As such, you could have a few problems tackling them in Horizon Zero Dawn. Luckily for you, there’s actually a very easy way to deal with Fire Bellowbacks.

The hint is in their cargo. On their back is a huge Cargo Sac filled with the Blaze. This stuff is incredibly flammable, so all you need to do is keep hitting the Cargo Sacs with fire arrows and eventually Fire Bellowbacks will explode. These elemental explosions tend to deliver about 500 points of damage. Wiping out at least half of their health bar.

Of course, once you’ve exploded the Cargo Sac once, you can’t do it again, so focus your fire arrows on either their Blaze Canisters on the side, or the Gullet that’s glowing green. All of this time, your foe will be suffering from burn damage, so it won’t take long for them to fall.
