Planet Coaster: How to Rotate and Move Your Camera

This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information

Planet Coaster is all the 3D theme park management fun you could want in a game. You’re able to build your theme park from the ground up just like the old retro games (that shall not be named), except this time, in glorious 3D.

You might be wondering how to move your camera and get a better look of your park, especially if you’re trying to build that perfect, terrifying coaster. Well, if you want to move around, simply use W, A, S, or D to move throughout your theme park. You can also hold down your right mouse button and drag your mouse to do this. If you want a better angle of things, hold down your middle mouse button while moving the mouse to rotate your view. You can also use Q or E on your keyboard for this, if you prefer.

That’s really all there is to it. Remember to utilize this function whenever your point of view gets a bit obstructed, and you’re having a hard time placing something down. Also, keep in mind that you can change all of your controls by hitting the gear in the top left or hitting ESC to reach the Options menu, going into Settings, and then heading over to Controls to note whatever commands you’d like instead.
