World of Warcraft Legion: How to Hide Your Helm or Cloak

World of Warcraft players have been able to hide their helms and cloaks for ages, but how to do so recently changed with the arrival of Legion and its pre-expansion patches.

Historically, players would be able to hide these items using a toggle in the Interface menu. That toggle is now gone, and you’ll no longer be able to make these items invisible on a whim.

Instead, the ability to hide helms and cloaks has been moved to Transmogrifiers. You’ll need to find one in a city and have them set your items to hidden. They can even hide your shoulder piece. Oftentimes, you can find a place to deal with Transmogs near a city’s enchantment shop.

There’s no cost for hiding equipment, and no cost to revert your equipped item back to visible. Keep in mind that if you’re playing World of Warcraft’s new Demon Hunter class and chose a blindfold at character creation, your blindfold will still be there after you hide your helm. To get rid of that blindfold, you’ll have to visit a barber shop.

Dalaran has a convenient Transmogrifier in its enchanting shop, if you’re looking for one right after finishing your Legion starting quests.
