This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

One of the creepiest-looking games in some time, Agony, is getting a release next month. After being successfully funded on Kickstarter, the game (complete with bizarre sights and sounds) is finally coming in its finished form this summer.

Journey to Hell as you do your best to navigate the atrocities that await you there. You’ll have to solve the mystery behind a female entity known as the Red Goddess, who actually created the vision of Hell you have to trudge through. There are plenty of not-so-friendly looking creatures awaiting you there, probably waiting to rip you to shreds, after all.

The first-person narrative will come with a fairly long story mode, but there’s also a set of optional objectives in the form of a challenge system. To complete it, you’ll need to finish up a series of survival-related tasks to score big.

You’ll be able to pick up the game on May 29 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It certainly doesn’t look like it’s for the faint of heart, as you’ll soon see in the trailer below, so if you think blood and guts might bother you, you might want to steer clear. Otherwise, feel free to hit that play button and take in all the sights and sounds.
