Bethesda has revealed today courtesy of a promotional video for this year’s QuakeCon the release dates of several upcoming VR iterations of recently released games in its catalog.
Found around the 3:40 mark in the video below, Skyrim VR will release exclusively for PlayStation VR this November 17, DOOM VFR will release for both PlayStation VR and HTC Vive on December 1 and Fallout 4 VR will release exclusively for HTC Vive on December 12. No other platforms have been specified as of late for these aforementioned titles.
The video goes on to mention that fans going to the annual convention will be treated to hands-on play sessions with upcoming Bethesda games including Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider and The Evil Within 2. This will mark the first time that the latter game will be playable by the public.
A QuakeCon sale will also be held to mark the occasion and, of course, the Quake World Championships will be available to be streamed on Twitch and the game’s official Facebook page. A special-edition weapon will also be available in Quake Champions for a limited time.
This year’s QuakeCon will be held this Thursday to Sunday at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. In other Bethesda VR game news, it was recently revealed that DOOM VFR’s protagonist can actually transfer his consciousness to robots, allowing players to use a “badass security robot that has all the guns and all the killing power you would hope a DOOM game lets you wield.”
