Not bad for an older title.
Bayonetta made its debut on PC via Steam just last week, and since then, it’s enjoyed quite a bit of success. Since its release, the game has sold over 100k copies, according to SteamSpy. To be more accurate, the game has sold 102,120 copies at the time of writing.
Bayonetta was originally released on the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U back in 2009. Developed by Platinum Games, it’s an action hack and slash title where players get to cut through their enemies with melee and ranged attacks, while stringing long combos together. It’s often compared to the Devil May Cry series, as both titles share many similar action game elements. A sequel was released in 2014, but only on the Wii U.
Platinum Games has since gone on to make several other popular action titles, including Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and the more recent NieR: Automata.
Bayonetta is now available on PC via Steam, as well as the last-gen consoles.
