Horses are essential companions for Link in Breath of the Wild, helping him swiftly gallop across the countryside of Hyrule. Unfortunately, it is possible for your horse to die, whether it’s killed by enemies or accident, like falling off of a cliff. Have no fear, however, as there is an option for you to get your loyal companion back. We’ll tell you where and how, but first things first, make sure you have at least 1,000 rupees before attempting to revive horses in Breath of the Wild.

To revive a horse you’ll need to find The Horse Fairy, yes there is a Horse Fairy in Breath of the Wild. First off, move your map to the Lake Tower region of Breath of the Wild. You’ll want to transport to the Ka’o Makagh Shrine, which is right next to the Highland Stable. Now open your map and look to the Southeast for an area called “Lake of the Horse God.” If you look on the right side of this region you’ll see a road leading up to a small patch of land with water around it. Set a marker for this area and head there now. Down in a ravine, you’ll see what looks exactly like a Great Fairy Fountain. Head up to the fountain and pay the 1,000 rupee fee and you’ll come face to face with the Horse Fairy.
