How to Get Through the Church Prison in Outlast 2

There are a lot of horrific and bloody places that you will visit in your Outlast 2 travels, but the Church Prison is one of the most unsettling. When you first arrive at the church look to your left, proceed through the hole in the gate, and then enter the front door of the church. Once you enter, turn right and move down the hallway until you can push open a door at the end of the hallway. You will find a letter that can be read, but it’s not required to proceed further.

The second part of the Church Prison may seem scary, but you will be completely safe from any actual harm. Go down the stairs to discover a makeshift series of cells with some people alive and dead residing there. Proceed to the far end and grab the Prison Key on the rack before entering a large, empty cell. Continue forward and sneak under some cages until you’re grabbed by a friendly gentleman who just wants you to let him out. Ignore his request, you can’t trust anyone in Outlast 2 after all, and head upstairs. From here, ignore the sounds of your wife struggling and go to the end of the hall where the window is located. You will then witness your wife escape, so you can now jump out and follow after her.
