NieR: Automata – Buying Trophies

Recommended Videos

Everyone loves being rewarded for just playing a game, and NieR: Automata understands that. If you take a look at the game’s trophy list, you’ll see that quite a few of them are rather tedious to get, and not every player might want to spend hours farming materials to upgrade weapons, Pods, and finding every data file. To help you, NieR: Automata features an NPC that will sell you trophies in exchange for in-game currency. All you have to do is pay some money, and the trophy will pop on your system.

Before you can unlock this feature, you need to beat the game at least three times and unlock three of the main story endings. That will take you around 30 hours of game time. After that, use the Chapter Select function to jump back into the game, and head over to the Resistance Camp. Look for the female NPC with the machine head and talk to her. Choose the option that says “Request you-know-what” and you’ll unlock the trophy store.

Do note that you can’t buy any of the story-related trophies, and some of the tougher ones are actually pretty pricey, so you’ll still have to work a bit to purchase them. Though I do have to say, it’s far more rewarding to get your trophies legitimately than just straight up buying them.
