Bloodborne: The Old Hunters – Where to Farm Blood Vials

Gotta get that squishy blood.
This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information

I’m not sure if it’s an exploit or if From Software was feeling generous, but there is a particular enemy in The Old Hunters that will drop five valuable blood vials each time you kill him. Here’s the best part; he goes down with one hit and he doesn’t put up any sort of a fight at all, making him an easy farming spot for blood vials.

Bloodborne veterans will be familiar with the anguish of running out of blood vials whenever they’re up against a seemingly unbeatable boss. Well, fear no more. This will take care of your blood vial drought for the foreseeable future, or until From Software gets wind of it and decides to patch it out.

From the Nightmare Church lamp, head out of the church and cross the river of blood to the other side. This is the path that takes you to the first boss, Ludwig. Kill the hag standing atop the hill and go down. You’ll see a bloody skeletal figure pounding its feeble arms at the metal gate. That’s the guy you’re looking for. Simply hit him a couple of times with your weapon and he’ll fall dead, dropping 5 blood vials. That’s it. Rinse and repeat. Do watch out for the two crows hanging out in the corner, though. They could sneak up on you if you’re not careful.
