Throughout Batman: Arkham Knight players will come across many challenges and adversaries that test the limits they’re willing to go to in order to ensure Gotham’s safety.

Many characters from previous Batman Arkham games, as well as a couple of fresh faces, make an appearance as they murder, steal, and overrun the city that Batman has sworn to protect.

One particular enemy has a special grudge to pick with the dark knight, and he even takes a contract to ensure his demise.

That enemy is Deathstroke, and with the Arkham Knight‘s arsenal at his beck and call, he is determined to see the death of his greatest adversary.

Like with the Riddler, Batman is going to have to jump through many hoops before he can even face Deathstroke.

Where you only have to complete one Most Wanted questline in order to face the other major criminals in Batman: Arkham Knight, Deathstroke requires you to complete Own the RoadsOccupy Gotham, and  Campaign for Disarmament.

Once all three are completed, players will be given a waypoint to do battle with the persistent mercenary on Miagani Island.Batman Arkham Knight Deathstroke

This is a Batmobile battle, and you will have to face off against Deathstroke in a suped-up tank (that has 360 degrees of vision), and several Cobra Drones.

As you may know by now, Cobra Drones can only be destroyed by sneaking up on them and shooting them in the back with the Batmobile’s 60mm Cannon. It’s imperative that you take all of the Drones out first before beginning your assault on Deathstroke’s tank.

It will make the battle much easier, even to the point where you can complete the fight without taking any damage whatsoever.

One upgrade you should definitely have to make the entire process much easier is the 60mm Cannon- Cobra Lure upgrade found under the Batmobile Weapons skill tree.

Since you can only attack these vehicles from behind, being able to direct them to an area opposite from Batman will make taking these annoying (and otherwise invincible) drones out a much simpler task.

You can probably even lure all of them to the same location reducing the need to have to sneak around Deathstroke. Once they’re all gone it’s time to go after your primary target.

The easiest way to defeat Deathstroke’s tank, and to overcome his full range of vision, is to fight him around corners. There is a building located in the northwest of Miagani Island that has two small passageways perfect for this strategy.

Simply lure Deathstroke over here by grabbing his attention. Bring him to the building, shoot him with your 60mm cannon then duck into a passageway and wait for him to turn the corner. When he does, rinse and repeat.Batman Arkham Knight Deathstroke

His tank isn’t very fast, so if for some reason he manages to get a lock on Batman, just head around a corner at full speed and you’ll avoid any of his missiles.

It takes around 8 shots from you Cannon (fully upgraded) to destroy the tank, so keep close to the building as you chip away at his health.

If done correctly you’ll have one frustrated Deathstroke as well as a new criminal locked up at the GCPD.

There you have it, Deathstroke is beaten and you’ve taken pretty much no damage. I guess even during Batman’s worst night, the mercenary just isn’t on his level.

How did you feel about the encounter? Did you manage to drive circles around his all powerful tank? Did it give you trouble? Let us know in the comments.
