General Manager for BioWare Edmonton and Montreal recently tweeted that he had a “great time playing the next Mass Effect game.”

This isn’t the first time BioWare has teased the next Mass Effect game via Twitter and by now we know a few more things about the upcoming title. That it should not be referred to as Mass Effect 4, that it plans on utilizing some mechanics from Dragon Age 3, and that it’ll be running on the Frostbite 2 engine and is bringing about some re-tooling of the game as a result. Frankly the list begins sounding like a list of “will not’s” in terms of the new entries relation to the previous trilogy but I’d be willing to look forward to a title that’s more of a departure from the previous games, if only to see what sort of interesting narratives the developers can pull from their vast world.
