Street Fighter V’s Post-Launch Content Will Be “Earnable For Free” In-Game

Good on you, Capcom!
This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

I’ll be the first to admit that when it comes to treating their fans right, Capcom doesn’t exactly have the best track record in the industry. But with Street Fighter V, it looks like the company’s dedicated to bringing the best possible experience to fans of the series.

Over on the Capcom Unity blog, it has been announced that “all post-launch gameplay related content will be earnable for free by playing the game.” This means that free balance updates to the game will be available to all players who got the game at launch, and even “choose the post-launch characters that you want to get.”

Capcom also revealed a few other additions to Street Fighter V. For instance, an in-game economy with two types of currency will allow players to choose and purchase the type of content they want.

Street Fighter V will be made available for the PS4 and PC in March 2016, and the PS4 beta for the game begins on July 23.
