Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter

Recommended Videos

sherlock holmes the devil's daughter

35% off Sherlock Holmes: The Devils Daughter, lowering its price from $44.99 to $29.24.

Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter slightly deviates from its traditional detective gameplay by implementing some action-heavier sequences. While far from bad, its changes aren’t always for the better, but luckily there is still plenty of engrossing deducting to do with an intriguing and more personal psychological story that’ll keep you coming back until its conclusion.

With mostly positive reviews, we’d recommend this game if you personally love Sherlock Holmes in any form of media, ranging from the traditional books to the more modern BBC hit series. Its action sequences definitely feel a bit forced, but the exquisite puzzle solving and story telling that fills the large gaps between those sequences is what saves this latest game in Frogware’s Sherlock Holmes series.

If you’re still on the edge about The Devil’s Daughter, waiting a bit longer may not be that bad of an idea. The title is still quite recent, meaning larger discounts are bound to follow sooner rather than later.

Frozenbyte Collection

Trine 3

85% off the entire Frozenbyte collection, lowering its price from $83.94 to $12.39.

Frozenbyte is a small indie studio best known for its excellent Trine platforming trilogy, albeit the last title in the series was largely met with mixed reviews. Not just Trine but the entire Frozenbyte catalog is on sale, including Shadowgrounds and the more recent Shadwen.

Whereas Shadowgrounds’ top-down shooting mechanics may feel dated, both Shadwen and the Trine series come as recommendations. Both are platforming titles, with the former being a merciless stealth game and the latter being a more fantasy-based co-op sidescroller. If any of those genres sounds appealing to you, don’t hesitate to pick either one of them up.

Still not too sure? For the low price of both the complete collection and the individual games, you can’t really go wrong regardless.

Mount Your Friends

Mount Your Friends

60% off Mount Your Friends, lowering its price from $4.99 to $1.99.

Mount Your Friends is a game that has you… well… mounting your friends. You play as an athlete that has to climb a pile of other athletes and even a goat to try and make it to the top in an attempt to beat your high score, along with a variety of other ridiculous mini-games.

It should come without saying, but Mount Your Friends is filled to the brim with sexual innuendos, from the dangling body parts of the lubed-up athletes to the hilarious positions your characters can land in.

If you’re looking for some dumb fun, you practically can’t go wrong with this one. Just don’t expect a deeply emotional story or anything serious here, because you will find yourself severely disappointed. And quite possibly even scarred for life.

Alien: Isolation

alien

66% off Alien: Isolation, lowering its price from $36.99 to $12.57.

Alien: Isolation is one of the few good survival-horror games that can actually make the hair on your arms stand up straight. Even though there is only one Xenomorph chasing you throughout the entirety of its lengthy singleplayer story line, with a few survivors and androids crossing paths with you along the way, the entire game is pretty much filled to the brim with some truly thrilling moments that’ll have you holding your breath in fear.

There’s no doubt about it. Alien: Isolation is a must for fans of the survival-horror genre, especially for this laughably low price. If you’re a fan of the Alien movie franchise, this title also offers a solid albeit slightly familiar story that fits beautifully within the franchise’s lore. This is a game you can easily sink 20 to 30 hours into whilst occasionally coming back when you’re in need of a good fright.

Hacknet

maxresdefault

25% off Hacknet, lowering its price from $9.99 to $7.49.

Hacknet is an engaging simulator that puts you in the skin of a hacker. You’re given instructions from a fellow hacker who has recently passed, unfolding in a pretty thrilling and unique story.

Recommending Hacknet is quite difficult since it’s definitely not a game for the general public. You’ll spend your time with this title clicking and typing away, which does put you in an interesting perspective. Hacknet makes you feel like a professional hacker like few other games do whilst remaining within legal boundaries, having you issue real-life commands that closely resemble a Linux server. If that’s what you wish to experience thanks to media phenomenons like Mr Robot, this game is the way to go.

The sale isn’t too grand by any means, so maybe hold off on it if you’re not too sure yet whether or not you should pick this one up. We’d advise you to check out some gameplay videos before making your final decision.
