In Knights of the Fallen Empire, players will take control of a level 60 veteran of the Great Galatic War called the Outlander. The Outlander will be the centre part of what has been called a “personal Star Wars™ story where choices matter and impact outcomes.” All that’s been revealed about the plot so far is that it will involve the creation of a third faction that will threaten the galaxy and the fate of both the Sith and the Jedi alike.

Players will be able to play one of eight class stories which aim to “offer a deeper, more accessible experience purely focused on immersing you in a personal Star Wars story.” Knights of the Fallen will feature an evolving story which will regularly be updated with new chapters.

So far the Star Wars: The Old Republic website has revealed images of two new two new characters. These two characters are Arcann, the Dark Prince who thinks that “Destiny is a Lie” and the Immortal Emperor Valkorion. Players/meatbags will also be able to run into the fan favourite character HK-55.

Knights of the Fallen Empire will be free to all subscribers and those who subscribe will also receive additional in-game content. Players who subscribe by July 31st will get the fabled Gunslinger Nico Okarr as a companion. Staying with Okarr, if players subscribe by August 31st they’ll get Nico Okarr Blaster Set and his duster coat if they subscribe by September 30th. By subscribing by October 19th players will get a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic inspired Swoop Bike and finally players who subscribe from July 31st till October 19th will get early access to the new expansion.
