In a world where the universe teeters on the brink of destruction, Battleborn‘s story sees players fighting either alone or with friends to save the last remaining star from what Gearbox described as a “mysterious evil hell-bent on its destruction”.

This evil army is ruled by someone called Rendain, and the only thing that can stop them is a band of heroes known as the Battleborn. In total players will be able to choose between 25 vastly different” heroes, each of which has their own personality and will come equipped with their own weapons and powers.

Along with a story mode, Battleborn will also feature a 5v5 competitive multiplayer mode which will take place across three separate modes. These modes are called  Incursion, Devastation, and Meltdown. Players will be able to earn experience points to level-up their favorite characters in every game mode as well as their own ” player profile Command Rank.”
