Karin Kazuki Returns to Join Street Fighter V

Laugh more than likely included.
This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information

It’s just the month of character reveals for Street Fighter V. So far, we’ve had Hot Ryu and Rashid, and today at Tokyo Game Show, Capcom confirmed that Karin Kanzuki would be joining the roster. Karin first made her appearance in the series with Street Fighter Alpha 3. A trailer showing Karin’s moves off was up for a while, but it looks like it’s been taken down.

In the Street Fighter canon, Karin is a rival of Sakura Kasugano, who’s currently unconfirmed for Street Fighter V. When Karin wins a match, she ends it with her hearty laugh, and it’s a safe bet that it’ll be making a resurgence here. She joins a cast of characters mostly made up of returning fighters like Ryu, Chun-Li, Cammy, Vega, Ken, M. Bison, Nash, Rainbow Mika, and Birdie. Four new characters are expected to round out the opening slate of 16 fighters when the game releases, two of which (Necalli and the aforementioned Rashid) have currently been revealed.

Street Fighter V punches and kicks its way to the PC and PS4 spring of next year. What other old characters do you want to join the cast? Let us know in the comments below.
