Battlefield Hardline Official Gameplay Trailer Released

Cops and robbers blowing each other up. Oh games, we love you.

Explosions and gatling guns are galore in the above trailer for Battlefield Hardline. It’s not just any random trailer, it is in fact the official launch gameplay trailer (a mouthful if ever there was one) which was released today by EA and Visceral.

You all know the story of Battlefield Hardline by now. It’s cops vs robbers in a full on shooting bonanza with rocket launchers and helicopters galore.

During the trailer, which is all in-game footage and not some effect-sprinkled CGI affair, we are assaulted in the eyeballs by enough explosions to make even a Die Hard film happy. Hell there’s a send up to Die Hard 4.0 where a helicopter is blown out of the sky with a car.

No Bruce Willis or Justin Long though, thank god.

There isn’t a whole lot more to be said about the trailer other thank look at it and prepare for an explosion-fest that even Michael Bay would be proud of. Keep an eye out for the car reversing at an angle while someone guns down another car from the passenger side window. If we can do that in the full game, it’ll be fun to say the least.

Battlefield Hardline is coming to Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC March 17, with Xbox One EA Access subscribers able to access 10 hours of gameplay from March 12.
