The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is one of the most anticipated games, well, probably of all time if we’re being honest. The first game is now widely considered to certainly be among the best TLOZ games ever made, but also many have it on their list of the greatest video games ever made. So, ahead of its release, many Nintendo fans are wondering when does The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom come out? Here’s everything we know so far.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 Come Out?

Originally, the hotly anticipated sequel was slated for a vague 2022 release date. However, that changed with the announcement of a delay.

Now, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will release on the Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2022. This news was revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct event, which debuted a new name and trailer alongside the release date. At the time of this writing, there isn’t anything more specific than that or a hard release date. When that changes, we’ll be sure to update this post.

In reality, this isn’t a major delay since, likely, the game was probably going to come out at the very end of this year, but that clearly isn’t the case anymore.
