How to Get Fairies – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Recommended Videos

Fairies are present in pretty much every single Zelda game out there, so there’s no surprise that they’re in Zelda: Breath of the Wild as well. This time around, catching them actually turns them into very useful items that can be used to revive Link if he happens to lose all of his hearts in combat.

Fairies can be caught by running up to them and pressing A. Of course, seeing as how they’re so useful, they aren’t everywhere in the world, but they are around. You can sometimes find one flying around tall grass. Look closely for a small, flying orb of light with little wings. They tend to fly off of the beaten path, so you’ll need to do a bit of exploring. Another area where they seem to be somewhat common is around one of the three Great Fairy Fountains located in Hyrule.

Make sure to still try to survive, since these are pretty rare and you won’t be able to revive all the time.
