However, the good news is that you don’t need to beat Future Connected to unlock it in the main game. All you have to do is play the epilogue until you reach the first checkpoint and save your game, and you can load up your save file from the main game to access the new outfit.

The only thing I’d advise you to do is skip the introductory cutscenes as it reveals who the final boss is, as well as one or two major plot points that you definitely don’t want spoiled for yourself. Once you regain control of Shulk and Melia, save your game and quit out.
