Beating Telethia Enemies in Xenoblade Chronicles

The Telethia are a special enemy type that you’ll start encountering once you reach the forest on your way to meet Melia and her people. They’re fairly easy to take down if you can damage them, but the key is actually making them vulnerable to your attacks in the first place.

Telethia enemies will have a green aura around them that prevent you from doing any damage with your attacks or Arts. In order to get around this, you’ll need to use one of Shulk’s Monado abilities. Select the Monado from the Arts bar, then choose the Purge ability to dispel the aura. Once you do that, you should be able to dispatch of the Telethia quickly.

Be warned, though; you should only use Purge when the aura is up and not before. It is possible for you to use Purge before the aura is actually in effect, and for the enemy to put up the aura once Purge is on cooldown.

The problem with this is that Monado abilities recharge based on auto-attacks from your characters so if you use Purge too early, you pretty much won’t be able to win that fight since your Monado abilities can’t recharge. Use it at the right timing and you should be fine.

That’s all you need to know about how to beat Telethia enemies in Xenoblade Chronicles. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
