How to Cancel a Preorder on Xbox One
Sometimes after preordering a game you just realize it isn’t for you. Whether that is budget constraints, a change of opinion on the game before release, or something else its important to know how to cancel your preorder before the games release just in case. With so many games offering preorder incentives it may seem like pre purchasing the game is your best bet to get the entire experience. Here is how to cancel you preorder on Xbox One.
First you’ll have to go to Xbox.com on your mobile device or computer in order to access your Microsoft account. In the right hand corner of the screen you will see the word account. After clicking on the Microsoft account option on the screen you’ll be prompted to login into your account. Fill in your email and password to access your account and then you can select the “See All” option next to recent purchase. Look through your recent purchases until you find the game you’re looking to cancel. Simply click on the cancel button and it should be removed from your preorders. If you were already charged for the game, it should offer you a full refund. If you’re having a problem with that, you can also start a live chat with Xbox support.
After cancelling your preorder, be sure to check your email for a confirmation email to ensure you have in fact cancelled.
