Fans of the Left 4 Dead franchise will relish the arrival of World War Z. The co-operative zombie survival game is heavily inspired by Valve’s iconic franchise, and it actually adds a fair amount of new mechanics to the formula to. Namely, the zombie hordes recognizable from its source material. But how long is World War Z and how many levels are there? Here’s your answer.
How Long World War Z Is & How Many Levels There Are
World War Z launched at the sharp price point of $40, but if you’re worried that might mean it’s a little light on content, then we’ve good news for you. The game has plenty to keep you occupied.
There are a total of 11 missions in the game spread across four chapters. There are three missions in the first three chapters and two in the final one. Each chapter is set in a different location across the globe. Specifically, these are:
New York
Jerusalem
Moscow
Tokyo
You’re free to tackle chapters in a fairly loose order, so it isn’t as if you have to follow the above sequencing exactly. While the source material provides some in-depth lore, the story is somewhat thin in the game. That said, it’s more involved than the Left 4 Dead games.
Designed as a multiplayer experience first and foremost, World War Z is a game that’s designed to be played repeatedly. Each playthrough of a mission or chapter is obviously going to be different depending on the buddies you have with you. That said, if you’re wanting to know how long it would take to play all four chapters from start to finish in a single sitting, we’d estimate around five hours.
Again, though, you should be approaching the game from the angle that you’re going to replay each mission/chapter repeatedly.
That’s everything you should need to know about how long World War Z is and how many levels there are. For more useful information on the game, be sure to search Twinfinite.
