How to Multibox & What It Does in World of Warcraft

Some players have a hard enough time just playing one character in an MMO, but there is actually a large community of players who enjoy the challenge of playing more than one character at the same exact time.

First things first, however, in order to do this you will need one World of Warcraft Classic account per character. This is because you can’t be logged into more than one character at a time on one account.

If you are looking to run multiple accounts on the same computer, make sure your computer can handle the task. Since WoW is not a graphical intensive game, a mid-range PC should be fine.

A much more expensive option would be to run the game on multiple different computers with a single shared keyboard and mouse using a KVM switcher.

It’s important to note that if you plan to do this using multiple machines they will need to be identical machines for the equipment and macros to work.

Once you have that sorted out you’ll need to create macros, which are keyboard shortcuts that will work across all of your characters.

It may take some time to program, but here is a list of possible macros to get you started.

Multiboxing also allows for a range of add-ons to the World of Warcraft Classic experience that will help keep up with all of your characters.

This is a hobby that requires just as much time preparing as it does to level all the way to 60. So if you don’t want to rely on other players, why not run your entire dungeon group yourself?

So to recap, here are the steps needed to Multibox.

How to Multibox

  1. Purchase Multiple Accounts

Each character you want to run will need their own separate World of Warcraft Classic account.

  2. Choose Either Software or Hardware

Decide if you want to run everything on one device or separate identical devices.

  3. Program Macros

Program all of your macros to apply to all characters making it easier to play them together.

  4. Download any Add-Ons You May Need

If you want any add-ons to make your experience easier download and install them.

Well, that’s everything you need to know about how to multibox and what it does in World of Warcraft. For more tips, tricks, and guides be sure to check out Twinfinite.
