In World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth (WOW: BFA) there is an absolutely huge number of battle pets available to choose from. Now you may be wondering, since there are currently close to 1100 pets, which ones are the best for your day to day battle pet missions? We’ve put together a list of five of our picks for the best battle pets in World of Warcraft right now.

Lil’ Bling

Health: 1400     Power: 260     Speed: 325

This pet features both adequate health and combat strength with a very high speed rating. This makes it versatile in any number of encounters. It also has the special, non-combat ability to make you laugh every time you see its name. This pet can be obtained from gifts given by the Blingtrons daily in World of Warcraft.

Accursed Hexxer

Health: 1420     Power: 301     Speed: 264

This pet can take a decent amount of damage while putting its own out. It is quite strong but is not as fast as some others. While we’re not entirely sure how a dream-catcher is a pet, this is still somehow better than Trubbish. It can be purchased from battle pet vendors in Nazmir.

Ashmaw Cub

Health: 1806     Power: 260     Speed: 244

While this pet is one of the tankier pets around, it may come up short on speed. This is more of a utility pet that could come in handy in fights that feature heavy damage. Also it’s a cute bear, that alone should give it some bonus points. It is a reward for a questline in Val’sharah.

Azeriti

Azeriti - Battle for Azeroth, world of warcraft, wow, best battle pets

Health: 1644     Power: 260     Speed: 260

This new pet in Battle for Azeroth is incredibly well balanced. It features a relatively high amount of health without sacrificing much in the way of power and speed. But as with most things in the Battle for Azeroth endgame, it will take a fairly long time to grind for. It can only be purchased from the Champions of Azeroth reputation vendor once you are revered with the faction.

Ikky

Health: 1319     Power: 322     Speed: 273

This pet is a bit of a glass-cannon. What it lacks in health and speed it makes up for in its combat strength. Plus, everyone needs a bird-bro. This pet can be gained from completing a quest in the Spires of Arak or purchased on the auction house.
