Where Good Karma Hospital Is Filmed
The Good Karma Hospital is a medical drama series that stars Amanda Redman, Amrita Acharia, James Floyd, and Neil Morrissey. The plot follows junior doctor Uby Walker who decides to leave the UK after her life and relationship end up in shambles. After learning about a job through an advertisement, she decides to move with the hopes of starting a fresh life. While the show is set in India, some fans might be wondering where the filming location really is.
In truth, the drama series is actually filmed in Sri Lanka, specifically in Unawatuna in the south. Production has shot several scenes at the Thiranagama Golden Beach Restaurant and other areas, such as a tea plantation, around the Galle region. Some of the other filming locations include plenty of mountains surrounding the area, filled with jungle and wildlife.
The show is currently in its second season, having aired earlier this month. It picks up right where it left off, with Ruby struggling to stay afloat following another tricky case in the hospital. Those who are looking into the series can watch it now on ITV.
