How Long What Remains of Edith Finch Is and How Many Stories There Are

Recommended Videos

What Remains of Edith Finch puts you in the shoes of the last member of the Finch family as she explores her old house, recounting the weird and wonderful stories of it and the family members that lived there. You won’t come up against any boss battles but simply experience and immerse yourself within each of the weird and wonderful stories the game tells.

As such, players are probably wondering exactly how long the game is and how many stories they’ll be told. When we played through the game, we finished it in about two hours. We got some of the missable trophies and had fully explored the house in that time.

These two hours are split over thirteen different stories. Each one tells the tale of a family member’s final moments, and as such, you’ll fill out the family tree you see at the start of the game. We’ve included a list of all of the stories below. If you want to completely avoid spoilers, we advise not looking and enjoying the experience as it was intended to be played.
