Playing Single-Player in A Way Out
A Way Out is the brand new narrative-driven game from Hazelight Studios, and is being published as part of the new EA Originals program. The story follows protagonists Vincent and Leo, and players must both work together to progress. The game is best experienced with a friend through online or couch co-op. And if you’re hoping to enjoy the game solo or as a single-player experience, we’re afraid you’re out of luck.
At the moment, A Way Out can only be played as a co-op game. This means that there’s no way for you to enjoy the game alone; it’s mandatory to have someone else playing with you. The good news is that even if there’s no one on your online friends list to play with, you can still have someone join you via local couch co-op by connecting another controller to your system.
Alternatively, when A Way Out launches, your friends can download a Friends Pass free trial version of the game, and you can invite them to a session and play through it together. Your friend wouldn’t have to pay anything to play through the full experience with you.
