Maxing it out positively leads to the Mediator trait, and negatively will cause your sim to be Argumentative.

Lowering Conflict Resolution

Lowering your conflict resolution is a lot easier than raising it, it turns out:

• Fighting and arguing
• Declaring enemies
• Selecting certain Teachable Moments options
• Selecting certain options during Volunteering or School opportunities

Fighting and arguing is the easiest of these methods as you can do it over and over again so long as you have a punching bag of a sim to do it to.
