The Sims 4: How to Adopt Babies and Children

This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

The Sims 4 will allow your sims to experience the miracle of child birth. However, if you want your sims to adopt some less fortunate souls, this option is of course opened to every sim family.

All you need to adopt a child is a computer somewhere in your home. Go to it and head over to the Household menu. Once there, you’ll see the option to adopt. It’s as simple as that and will cost you 1,000 simoleons.

Note that you can’t do this at computers not placed on your home lot, so going to the library to make a life changing decision for your sim family won’t work. Besides, if you can’t afford a computer in your sim house and the 1,000 simoleons fee, you probably shouldn’t be adopting, right? When you go to adopt, you’ll also be able to choose which child from that screen you want.
