Wrapping up the journey of Clementine, a young girl who has survived through the initial years of the zombie outbreak thanks to the help of other survivors and her own sharp wit and instincts, the final season looks to end things on a good note with four separate episodes. The first, titled Done Running, sets up the season’s events with Clementine and her adopted family member A.J. discovering a survivor’s colony populated by children. Everything seems to be on the up and up, but before long it becomes apparent that it might not be as safe as they’d hoped.

Set to conclude the tale weaved across six years, countless characters’ story arcs and innumerable choices made by the player, the final season has been hotly anticipated by fans. Unsurprisingly, Telltale has taken notice and has posted a release schedule via Twitter to help alleviate fans’ tension over having to wait for each new morsel of content.

Arranged to release in six week intervals, each new episode has a tentative release date, acts of god or other technical mishaps in development not withstanding: Episode one saw its release on Aug. 14; episode two, titled Suffer the Children, is slated for release on Sept. 25; episode 3, named Broken Toys, is set for release on Nov. 6; and the final episode, Take Us Back, will launch on Dec. 18.

In the mean time, players can dive into the first episode of Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season on PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Once you’ve finished it, or if you don’t mind spoilers, check out our analysis on what the ending means and how it will impact the rest of the season moving forward.
