Switching Characters – Tales of Berseria

Recommended Videos

Tales of Berseria has quite a few party members that join you on your journey, and you may want to switch things up in battle by playing as someone other than Velvet. Luckily, the game lets you swap characters on the fly in battle, and they all have their own unique skills. Each character in Tales of Berseria plays wildly different, so you’ll want to try everyone out and see which one matches your style best.

There are two easy ways to change characters during battle. For the first, you’ll need to open the combat menu by clicking the touchpad on the DualShock 4, after that you can use L2 and R2 to cycle between characters. The other way is to simply hold down the guard button in battle, L1, and then use left and right on the D-Pad to cycle through characters. This ways lets you switch on the fly, whereas opening the menu lets you take a slower approach and plan out who you want to play as.

Try out a few different characters and see which playstyle you prefer. For more help, tips, and guides on Tales of Berseria, make sure to check back with Twinfinite.
