While a dog or cat can help fight away the blues, nothing quite beats having a human companion to experience the highs and lows with you. How to Romance Characters & Get Married

1. Raise Friendship Level

First off, you’ll need to raise the character’s friendship level. This is indicated by the hearts on the ‘Resident Information’ screen that can be opened by pressing X.

2. Give Them Gifts

The best way to increase your friendship level is to talk to them every day and give them gifts.

Each character has their own preferred gifts they like to receive. However, buying the jewelry from the General Store is normally a surefire bet.

3. Give Them Confession Pendant – How to Romance in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town

Once you reach 6 hearts with the character you want to romance, you can give them the Confession Pendant.

This can be bought for 10,000G from the General Store. Once you’ve got it and reached six hearts, go to the character you want to woo and hand it over to them by selecting it from your inventory and pressing Y.

This will trigger a short cutscene where you confess your love for one another.

4. Give Them Blue Feather

Continue to give your romance option gifts and talking to them every day to increase their hearts.

Once you reach 10 hearts (the maximum amount), you can then give them the Blue Feather.

The Blue Feather can be bought from the General Store for 20,000G. You also must have upgraded your house to house cabin or larger, otherwise you won’t be able to give them the Blue Feather.

After this, you and your character of choice will be married. They’ll move in onto your farm and you’ll all live happily ever after… with a child.
