State of Decay 2 has a large open world for you to explore. Or, you know, run away from zombies within. Yeah, you’re definitely going to be running away a lot in this game. If you don’t know how to sprint in some cases, you’re done for! So here’s how you sprint in State of Decay 2, to make sure you get some distance between you and those zeds.

Zombies will shamble towards you and sometimes run at you. If you want to get away quickly, hold down LB on your controller and you’ll be using up your stamina to sprint away. Obviously, a car is faster… but when your feet are all you have, you gotta use them! Note that your stamina will deplete, and your character’s Cardio skill can be increased the more times you actively move around. As this increases, it’ll use up less stamina, which means more time running.

If you want to replenish your stamina because it’s gotten low in State of Decay 2, you can do so by not moving or with snacks or energy drinks to replenish it even faster. Just make sure they’re equipped and hit the control pad in the direction that they’re in. Once you have either snacks or energy drinks selected, press RB and you’ll consume it quickly.

That’s all you have to do to sprint and run faster in State of Decay 2! Let us know if you need more help with the game and we’ll do our best to answer any questions. Or, check out our wiki for more tips, tricks, and guides.
