Splatoon 2: All Sunken Scroll Locations

Splatoon 2 has a lot going on from various, ink-firing weapons, to an awesome wardrobe of clothing options, and some interesting new game modes to dive into on the Nintendo Switch. There is also a fair amount of collectibles, and that includes Sunken Scrolls which help expand the lore of Splatoon 2. There are quite a few Sunken Scrolls hidden in the game and we’re going to list them all with descriptions to make your life a lot easier, starting with the first area: Tentakeel Outpost.

There are four Sunken Scrolls in this world.

Overworld – To the right of the area with all the platforms is a floating yellow balloon. Shoot it and it will reappear somewhere else, just keep following its path until you destroy the final one. We suggest painting the floor as much as you can first to make movement faster. If you fail, it just respawns to its first spot.

Return of the Octarians – After the area where you drop through a grate through some rings, check behind for a thin platform with an orange crate on it. You’ll need to drop down and then use ink to swim up the nearby wall.

Welcome to Octopia – Continue through the level until you come across the shielded enemy that’s above you on a grate. Take it down, but then drop to the area below to find an orange crate.

Sunset Octocopter – This is the first level where the Sunken Scroll is found after the Sardinium. Continue until you’re almost at the end of the level. There will be a wall that’s covered in purple paint with two rollers that come out every few seconds. Pass this obstacle, then make your way around the pillar to the side. There’s a speed pad on it, just paint the wall, swim up to the speed pad, and break the crate on top.

Splatoon 2: All Sunken Scroll Locations

The next world houses seven of these coveted Sunken Scrolls. They’re not in every level, but don’t worry, we’ve marked the locations by name.

Overworld – When you enter the area, head to the back left and find a lone green balloon. Shoot it and it will keep spawning elsewhere, just follow it until you get them all.

Enter the Octohurler – When you get to the large square that tries to push you off with brushes, paint one and ride it off the edge. It takes you under where you can see the scroll sitting on a platform.

The Octopark – When riding the roller coaster-like rail that has several enemies and balloons around, jump off through the ring to your left onto a thin tower with a crate on it. Break the crate for another of the Sunken Scrolls.

Octozeppelin Invasion – Be careful here. When on the platform with the row of zeppelins firing towards you, drop off the right side and land on a small platform underneath. Activate the rail that’s there and it will take you to some boxes to destroy.

Back-Alley Cleanup – After clearing the area with the spinning platform down in the pit. Don’t use the super jump pad just yet. Drop off to the right side of it.

Spinning Camground – You’ll come across a bridge made up of those platforms that roll. The third one from the end extends much further than it should. Walk to the end and drop to the small platform with the scroll.

Octoling Strike – Located inside one of the pink ink fountains. You’ll have to destroy it to nab this Sunken Scroll.

Beaker’s Depot Sunken Scrolls

Splatoon 2: All Sunken Scroll Locations

There are 7 more Sunken Scrolls in this location.

Overworld – Look for a light blue balloon in one of the lower areas and follow its path to find this Sunken Scroll.

Octoseeker Shakedown – After climbing the expanding sponges to a safe, you’ll notice more sponges to your right. Instead of expanding them, though, drop down to some that you can see in the distance below.

The Floating Garden – When on that maze of platforms, there’s one with a grate you can drop through, you’ll see a ring below. At the bottom is an enemy that drops grenades. Kill it for this Sunken Scroll.

Octo-Restore Spring – There is a moving platform that rains down purple ink. You can cover its top in green so you can stand there, and you’ll notice a tower where one side can be painted. Paint it so that you can swim up its side from the moving platform.

Dancing Floors – There’s going to be another of those painting platforms, this time with a grappling hook above it. Get on top then shoot the crate on the pillar to the right side. Also, paint the pillar so you can climb it.

Parking Garage – When you spawn in, drop down to the right side and you’ll find this Sunken Scroll on a small platform beneath.

Octoling Assault – Right where you find the Sardinium, which is in a large box you can’t miss to the left side of the warehouse, is a glass box with the level’s Sunken Scroll.

Slimeskin Garrison Sunken Scrolls

Splatoon 2: All Sunken Scroll Locations

Hope you like Sunken Scrolls, because 7 more await you in Slimeskin Garrison.

Overworld – Locate the green balloon and follow the path.

Secret Bowling Alley – While trying to avoid the massive, purple bowling balls, you’ll need to quickly get over to a thin platform to your right. You’ll notice a crate on top of it that houses your Sunken Scroll.

Octocommander Fortress – When you reach the part where there’s a huge spinning platform below you, drop down and then turn around to find a bunch of boxes. One has the Sunken Scroll.

Towering Heights – After making your way past a sniper on some narrow passages, look down and locate the orange box on a strip of crates.

The Experimentorium – This one requires a bit of work. After spawning in, drop down to a jump pad nearby. Take it up and you’ll find grapple points ahead. Start shooting them in order to move between and pay attention to your left side. There’s a red button there that you need to shoot until it turns green (may take more than one pass). This will move a platform that was originally far away closer to the start point, letting you jump down and claim a Sunken Scroll.

Propellerland – You’ll come across a path with a large square in the middle that has a single blue propeller. Shoot it to drop the path down just below the square for a second, revealing a button you need to shoot. Now turn back to the checkpoint and you’ll see a new path leading to the Sunken Scroll.

Octolings Ahoy! – You’ll come across a wall that has two grates above that you need to swim up through. Before going through them both, though, jump off to a platform on the left (it’s easy to jump to from the first of the two grates.

Cephalon HQ

Splatoon 2: All Sunken Scroll Locations

This is where you’ll find the last of the Sunken Scrolls in Splatoon 2. There are 7 more waiting for you in the toughest stages the game has to offer.

Overworld – There’s a green balloon floating in the distance. You know the drill.

Underground Expressway – This one’s tough because it includes invisible floors. When you reach the area that is one large, square, invisible floor. Keep to the right and look for an invisible platform that juts out the side. Just keep spraying paint until you see platforms and follow. Stop every couple of steps so you can spray more and keep following the trail right to the floating Sunken Scroll.

The Octogalaxy – There are plenty of rails to grind in this level. One of them will have you avoiding those large paint rollers. While doing so, be sure to jump to the second rail that takes you up and to the left (although the rail is on your right). It will lead you right to where you need to be.

Transfer Junction – When you reach a square where the corners move up and down, look down over the edge of each side until you see one of those sponges that expand when shot. Shoot it, then drop down onto it to find a small platform.

Platform Madhouse – At the very end of the level, you’ll be on a platform that moves left and right. Let it move to the left so you can see a button to shoot on the right corner of the final platform. This will create a launch pad that takes you to a robot. Shoot the floor in front of the robot to make it slip, then climb on top of it to find a second platform that takes you to a stack of crates. Now just shoot through the stack and you’re all set.

Paradise Lanes – There will be two lanes of bowling ball stacks to get past. On the lane closest to you is the handle to a geyser of ink. Use it to protect yourself as well as give you enough height to jump to the second lane. From there, get onto the small platform off the side of it.

Octoling Workout – The final Sunken Scroll is in Octoling Workout, mission number 27. In the large warehouse area, just look for an orange crate on top of a platform. There are a few scattered around. One has Sardinium and the other has Splatoon 2’s final Sunken Scroll.
