Party Size in Sea of Thieves

Recommended Videos

Sea of Thieves is the brand new pirate ship open world exploration game from Rare, and it’s best enjoyed in a party of friends and other online players. You could also play through the game alone if you wish, but the game is a lot more fun with three other players.

At the moment, the maximum party size in the game is four. When you boot up the game, you’ll have the option of sailing in either a galleon or a sloop. If you choose the galleon, you can either start matchmaking with a full crew of four, or go with a slightly smaller crew of three. On the other hand, if you choose the sloop, you can either matchmake with one other player, or just enter the game alone. Do note that if you enter the game alone, you can’t invite other people to your game, and you’ll have to go back to the main menu and start a new session to invite your friends.

Before you start matchmaking, you can also press the X button to invite people from your friends list to your party.

Be sure to check out our Sea of Thieves wiki for more tips, tricks, and information on the game.
