Where to Spend Gold in Sea of Thieves

Recommended Videos

Sea of Thieves, the new pirate themed game from Rare, is all about sailing the high seas and searching for treasure alongside your friends. The treasure you get, whether it be from other players or found using treasure maps, will usually come in the form of gold. As your gold supplies begin to increase, you’re going to want to know where you can spend it all.

Once you’ve turned any treasure chests that you’ve found in to the Gold Hoarders at any outpost, you will be rewarded with gold, and you can take it to the vendors at those same outposts. You can spend it on clothes for your character, to look exactly how you want and to make your fellow pirates and crew jealous. You aren’t able to buy stronger weapons, or anything else that makes you more powerful, with the gold you have. This is so that the game remains balanced.

That’s all you need to know about where you can spend your gold in Sea of Thieves. For more tips and tricks on the game, check out our extensive wiki guide.
