Scuttle Ship in Sea of Thieves

Recommended Videos

As you sail the high seas in Sea of Thieves, you might find yourself stuck in impossible situations, such as getting your ship in a position that you can’t get it out of. Whenever you run into trouble, and you need a way to quickly reset your position, there’s always the Scuttle Ship option available to you and your crew.

Similar to the game’s brig system, choosing to scuttle your ship requires a vote of agreement from the crew. If the majority is for it, the motion will pass and you’ll be able to scuttle your ship. Once you do this, your ship will immediately sink, and you should be able to find a mermaid nearby who can take you back to a new ship at a random outpost in the world. However, do note that if you choose to do this, you will lose all of the treasure and items you had onboard. Before you commit to destroying your ship, make sure you don’t have any valuable loot or everything will be gone for good.

Just go to the settings menu, and look at the bottom for the Scuttle Ship option.
