Red Dead Redemption 2 takes players back to the Wild West, this time with a prequel to the original game on PS3 and Xbox 360. You play as Arthur Morgan, a member of Dutch’s Van Der Linde Gang and as such you’ll oftentimes need to complete tasks for the gang. Early on in the game, you’ll need to help Leopold Strauss collect some debts, with one of those debts coming from Chick Matthews. How to Find Chick Matthews

After taking the quest from Strauss early on in the game, three different objective markers will pop up on your map. Chick Matthews will be the marker closest to you on the east side. Once you find him, he’ll ride off on his horse making you chase and then lasso him. If you intimidate him or point your gun at him while he’s hog-tied, he’ll tell you about a treasure map in his back pocket, or you can just loot him to begin with.

Where to Find Chick’s Treasure Location

Now that you have Chick’s treasure map you’ll get a new objective marker on your map, and there’s a little hint on the map itself that points to a hole in a tree. Once you get to the objective and find the area you need to search look for the biggest tree in the yellow zone.

It should be pretty easy to spot as it’s much larger than all the other trees around. Head over to the big tree and circle around the back until you find the hole, it’s roughly level with Arthur’s head. If you need to get a better view switch into first-person view by tapping the touchpad on PS4 or the view button on Xbox One.
