Cut HM – Pokemon Sun and Moon

Pokemon Sun and Moon bring a ton of new changes to the tried and tested series formula. While we’re used to seeing a new region in each generation of Pokemon games, Sun and Moon also mix things up when it comes to HMs. HMs, otherwise known as Hidden Machines, have been a crucial feature from the start of the series.

What used to be moves you’d teach to a Pokemon in your team to allow you to more freely navigate the world, Pokemon Sun and Moon do away with the Cut HM. Instead, Sun and Moon replaces HMs with the Poke Ride mechanic. These monsters will be separate from your battling team and will simply be there to help you get around.

To use Cut, you’ll just need to select the ‘mon from the Poke Ride menu and summon them to your aid as and when you need them.

It’s worth noting that none of these Poke Ride creatures can’t be used in battle either. Their sole use to you is to help you get to previously unattainable places.
