All Version Exclusive Pokemon in Pokemon Let’s Go
Just as most Pokemon games do, both Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee and Let’s Go Pikachu have exclusive Pokemon that can only be caught in the specific games. Here’s everything you need to know about all the version exclusive Pokemon in Pokemon Let’s Go if you haven’t decided which version of the game you’re going to pick up.
Since the Pokemon Let’s Go games are essentially remakes of Pokemon Yellow, seeing us return to Kanto, the lists of exclusive Pokemon are similar to the lists back when Red and Blue released. The Let’s Go Pikachu list is similar to what we saw from Blue, and Let’s Go Eevee’s list is similar to Red’s. Below are the lists for all the version exclusive Pokemon.
Let’s Go Pikachu Version Exclusives
- Oddish
- Gloom
- Vileplume
- Sandshrew

- Growlithe
- Arcanine
Let’s Go Eevee Version Exclusives

Of course, the games have version exclusive Pokemon to encourage players to trade with each other. It’s far more simple in these Switch games than it was back when we first visited Kanto, so you should be able to complete your Pokedex without many issues, if you know someone who picked up the other of the two versions.
However, there’s an even easier way to complete your Pokedex this time around that’s new to the series. The game is tied quite closely to the hugely popular mobile game, with random encounters no longer leading to battles, as they have done in every other mainline Pokemon game.
Instead, you can now see all the wild Pokemon roaming the Kanto streets and grassy areas, and you’re able to catch them with motion controls that are taken straight from the mobile game.
You are also able to transfer your Pokemon over from Pokemon Go to the Let’s Go games, meaning you’re able to get the version exclusive Pokemon without trading with someone. You will get candy in the mobile game for the Pokemon you transfer and you will be able to use it in the Switch game.
The transfer system is not live in the days running up to release, and it’s not clear exactly how it will work, but we will be sure to update you as soon as it’s possible.
That’s all you need to know about all the version exclusive Pokemon in Pokemon Let’s Go. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
