Pokemon GO: How to Heal and Revive Pokemon

A little pick me up is always welcome.

When you reach level five and can start partaking in the battling section of Pokemon GO, your Pokemon are going to get in harm’s way. Here’s how to heal and revive your Pokemon when they need it.

Healing Pokemon

In order to heal or revive your Pokemon, you’re first going to need the correct items. If you come out of a battle with your Pokemon just about hanging onto consciousness, you’re going to want to use either a Potion, Super Potion, Hyper Potion, or Max Potion.

These restore 20, 50, or 200 HP respectively, with the last one fully restoring HP no matter how low it is.

Reviving Pokemon in Pokemon GO

If on the other hand, your Pokemon have suffered a heavy defeat in battle and have fainted, you’re going to want to use either a Revive or Max Revive. A Revive will bring your Pokemon back to life, but will only restore half of its HP bar. The Max Revive goes the whole way, completely restoring your Pokemon’s HP bar in the process.

Both of these different types of items cannot be bought. Instead, you can only get these from Pokestops, and it’s not always a guarantee that you’ll get one when you visit one.

Once you’ve got the items, all you have to do then is tap the Pokeball at the bottom of the screen, head into the items menu and select the item you want to use. Once you’ve done this, simply select the Pokemon which is injured or fainted, and tap them to heal.

That’s all there is to healing and reviving your ‘mon in Pokemon GO. Good luck out there!
