How to Get Togepi – Pokemon GO

Recommended Videos

Pokemon GO is finally seeing the introduction of some of the generation II Pokemon, one of which is Togepi. The adorable little egg shell-wearing Pokemon is now available for players to get their hands on, but how you get Togepi is not as straightforward as catching any other ‘mon.

In fact, Togepi cannot be caught in the wild. Instead, if you want to add the creature to your Pokedex, you’ll have to test your luck with hatching Eggs. This Pokemon only appears from hatched Eggs, though the chance of this is relatively low. For the best chance of getting Togepi, you’ll want to keep as many Eggs incubating as possible, and continue walking around with them until they hatch.

Whether or not Togepi will forever remain a Pokemon you can only obtain by hatching an Egg remains to be seen. It’s also unclear just how rare these new Pokemon are as of yet, but we’ll keep an eye out and update you as and when more information is made available on Pokemon GO’s new additions.

Now that you know how to get Togepi in Pokemon GO, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki for more tips, tricks, and guides.
