Warp Cells – No Man’s Sky

No Man’s Sky has a large universe full of multiple galaxies which in turn have multiple star systems. In order to get to these in an amount of time that is not equal to literal, real world years, you’ll need to use your Hyperdrive. That Hyperdrive, though, runs on Warp Cells, a rare fuel that is highly coveted by all explorers.

Early on in No Man’s Sky you’ll be given a few objectives that will eventually lead to you owning an operating Hyperdrive. After fixing your first ship and reaching outer space, you’ll be tasked with locating the blueprint for the Hyperdrive and building it. You’ll then be tasked with fueling your new device, which is when the game leads you to the Warp Core blueprint. Once you have a blueprint you’ll be able to craft this powerful fuel whenever you need it provided that you have the necessary resources (100 Thamium and 1 Antimatter).

Crafting Warp Cells can be a headache, so it’s a good thing that there are other means of obtaining them, although they can be pretty rare. Visiting Atlas Station provides this elusive resource, and you can sometimes get some from destroying enemy ships and as rewards from Monoliths and other alien interactions.
