Getting Your Items Back After Dying – No Man’s Sky

Recommended Videos

No Man’s Sky is one grand space adventure. You’ll traverse some dangerous lands in your quest to the center of the universe. It’s totally fine, then, that you die. Maybe even a lot. Look, it’ll be very easy for you to die out there. Don’t beat yourself up about it too much. There’s weather, monsters, space pirates – basically everything wants you to die out there. It’s natural. Unfortunately, No Man’s Sky is a rogue-like in that you’ll lose your items when you die and have to go and get it back.

When you die, you’ll drop all of your inventory at the place of your death. You will respawn back at your last checkpoint, but you’ll sadly have lost your stuff. (Where the rogue-like comes in!) Follow the marker for your grave on your HUD, and you’ll come across the floating reminder of your demise. It’s a hovering, black quadrilateral. Simply interact with it using the square button and you’ll have access to all of your stuff again. Of course, take care not to die again on your way there or while picking your things back up, or they will disappear. With your items back in your inventory, you’re ready to start travelling again, just maybe take a little more caution next time.
