How to Play with Friends – Nioh

Recommended Videos

If you’re not a fan of playing co-op with online strangers, you could always pair up with a friend who also has a copy of Nioh. First off, before you do any summoning, go to the game’s menu and access the online settings. Here, you’ll get to set a password. Make sure you and your friend have the same password set so that you can match up with each other. Next, you’ll need an Ochoko cup to initiate the summoning process to play with friends. At the shrine, choose the option to summon a visitor and offer up your Ochoko. If you and your friend use the same password, your friend will be summoned to your world momentarily. This will allow you to play through missions and sub-missions together.

There’s another co-op mode that you can play through as well. On the world map, go to the Torii Gate option at the starting point and select Yokai Realm With a Companion. This is a co-op mode that will task you and your friends with defeating tough demons in a unique level. As long as you have the matching passwords, you should be able to play through this mode in Nioh together as well.

That’s all you need to know to play with friends in Nioh. Be sure to check back with Twinfinite and our ever-expanding wiki for more tips, tricks, and information on Nioh.
