Air Dash – NieR: Automata

Recommended Videos

In NieR: Automata, you have a dodge button that allows you to quickly sidestep enemy attacks and move away from them. However, you can also use that dodge ability to perform moves that can help you to cross large gaps. By performing an air dash, you’ll be able to glide in the air for a short amount of time – a move that’s useful for both dodging enemy shots, and platforming whenever the need arises.

First off, tapping the R2 button while jumping will allow 2B to perform a dodge in the air. If you hold down the R2 button, she’ll glide for an extra second or two. You can also hold down the jump button, which is X on the DualShock 4, to perform a short glide. However, it doesn’t last as long as the air glide you can perform with the R2 button.

Even when you’re on the ground, holding down the R2 button while running will also allow 2B to sprint a little faster, letting you make your way around the levels quickly. Keep these tips in mind when traversing the landscape in the game.
